NA 60 Chakwal-I / NA-60 Pakistan
NA 60 is a constituency for the seat of Pakistan’s National Assembly from Chakwal. Chakwal was part of Rawalpindi Division but in 1985 Chakwal District was created and now there are total 2 National Assembly seats from Chakwal District i.e. NA 60 and NA 61. NA-60 is also known as NA-60 Chakwal-I and it is one of two constituencies of Chakwal District for National Assembly of Pakistan.
From 1988 to 1997 this constituency was known as NA-43 Chakwal. In 1988, Abdul Majeed Malik of IJI won the seat. In 1990, Abdul Majeed Malik again won the seat on IJI ticket. In 1993 General Elections, Abdul Majeed Malik won the constituency on PML-N ticket. In 1997, Abdul Majeed Malik won the seat for the fourth consecutive time on PML-N Ticket.
In 2002 General Elections, Tahir Iqbal won the seat as PML-Q candidate. In 2008 General Elections, Ayaz Amir won the seat on PML-N ticket. In 2013 General Elections, Tahir Iqbal won the seat as PTI candidate. Overall this constituency is bastion of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz.
