Punjab Tenancy Act 1887
This Act was promulgated on 23 September 1887. The basic purpose of this law is to regulate the laws relating to tenancy of land in province of Punjab, Pakistan. It regulates the Rent of tenant, relinquishment, abandonment and ejectment of tenants. It also regulates the proceedings of Revenue Courts in matter regarding with tenancy.
This stature also explains the relationship between the landlord and tenant i.e. it describes the duties and rights of both landlord and tenant.
