The Punjab Civil Administration Act 2017
The Punjab Civil Administration Act 2017 is also known as third act of 2017 and it was passed on 8th February 2017. Its purpose is to institute a comprehensive system of civil administration in the Punjab for efficient administration and improved service delivery to the people. It is essential to institute a comprehensive system of civil administration in the Punjab for efficient administration, improved service delivery, better coordination, supervision and regulatory enforcement and for other retlated matter.
Section 3 of this act describes about commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners.
Head of District Police means the head of the district police appointed under the Police Order 2002. Head of local government means the Mayor or Chairman of a local government under the Punjab Local Government Act 2013.
Division, District and Tehsil respectively mean the Division, District and Tehsil constituted under the Punjab Land Revenue Act 1967.
The Punjab Civil Administration Act 2017 repeals the The Punjab Civil Administration Ordinance 2016 as given in section 31 of the Act.
