24th Amendment in Constitution of Pakistan 1973
On 22 December 2017, 24th Amendment in the Constitution of Pakistan 1973 was passed by President of Pakistan. The basic purpose of this amendment is to redistribute the seats of National Assembly among the Provinces according to the latest population census 2017.
Article 51 of the constitution is amended after this latest amendment. Now out of total 272 General Seats in National Assembly of Pakistan, Balochistan has 16 seats, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has 39 Seats, Sindh has 61 Seats and Punjab has 141 Seats along with 3 seats for Federal Capital.
