Languages Spoken in Multan
Majority of Multan’s population is Muslim but there are some remnants of Sikh and Hindu communities in the district. Following is the breakdown of Multan’s population by language spoken;
- Multani is spoken by 52 % people in Multan
- Punjabi is spoken by almost 25 % people of district
- Haryanvi, which is mixture of Punjabi and Urdu is spoken by 18% people
- Urdu is also spoken by minority of people
