A Pakistani Citizen in Punjab Province has two options to get the divorce certificate i.e. first to go directly to the concerned Union Council and secondly go to e-Khidmat Markaz and apply to the same. If you go to Union Council the issuance of certificate takes 3 working days. If you go to e-Khidmat Markaz, the service delivery time is 7 days. Application processing charges at e-Khidmat Markaz are 100 rupees should be paid through National Bank of Pakistan.

How to get Death Certificate in Punjab Pakistan – Guidelines in Urdu

Death Certificate in Punjab Pakistan

Local Government and Community Development (LG & CD) is the relevant department for Death Certificate. Relevant Union Council issues Death Certificate. A person can go directly to the concerned Union Council with required documents to get Death Certificate. Normally a Union Council issues death certificate in three days.

If you go to the e-Khidmat Markaz of Punjab Government you can obtain the certificate in three days after payment of 100 rupees.

Documents required getting Death Certificate

  • You need an application Form which are available in Union Council and also available in the e-Khidmat Markaz (Attested)
  • Death Certificate of Hospital if death in Hospital
  • Affidavit if Death is in House
  • Bank Challan Form

If you go to e-Khidmat Markaz of Punjab Government you only need to fill the form and pay the 100 rupee fee on bank challan form along with Hospital Death Certificate (if death in hospital) to get the Death Certificate. If you go to concerned Union Council you may need all above mentioned documents.

Birth Certificate in Punjab Pakistan

Birth Certificate is issued by Local Government and Community Development (LG&CD) in Punjab Province. It is issued by relevant Union Council. If a person submits application for birth certificate in concerned Union Council within 60 days of birth the delivery time is 3 working days. If person submits application for birth certificate after 60 days, the delivery time is 7 working days. The departmental fee for issuance of this Certificate is rupees 100. Foreign Exchange Remittance Card in Urdu

Foreign Exchange Remittance Card (FERC) is for the facilitation of Overseas Pakistanis and it has been implemented by the Ministry of Finance in September 2001. Overseas Pakistanis Foundation has been assigned task to issue FER Cards among the overseas Pakistanis. FER Cards are divided in five categories i.e.

  • Silver                     US $2500 or more
  • Silver Plus            US $5000 or more
  • Gold                      US $10000 or more
  • Gold Plus             US $25000 or more
  • Platinum              US $50000 or more

There are certain incentives for the Overseas Pakistanis remitting foreign currency equivalent to US$2500 to US$50000 per annum i.e.

  • Separate counters for special handling at arrival and departure lounges at all international Airports in Pakistan
  • Free issuance and renewal of passport on urgent basis
  • Duty Credit as per Category of Remittance Card
  • Duty Credit can also be utilized for seven items with fixed duty i.e. television, deep freezer, refrigerator, microwave oven, cooking range, washing machine and air conditioner.

  • The Title Deed
  • The Sale Deed (A case decree must be attached if the property’s ownership has been disputed)
  • Copies of you CNIC and passport-sized photographs, as well as those of the previous owner
  • A Mutation Certificate, issued by a land owning authority, such as the DHA, KDA or LDA. This certificate provides details about the property, such as its current registration status, previous owner’s name and pending dues (If any).
  • If the property has been purchased via a bank loan, then a permission letter is required from the band to verify that the loan has been provided.
  • If the loan has been paid in full, an NOC from the band is required; two representatives from the bank should be present at the time of registering the property in this case.
  • A Trust Deed NOC from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is required id the property has been purchased to construct a religious building.
  • An NOC from the Home Department is required if the new or previous owner is a foreigner.
  • Receipts that prove that relevant taxes have been paid. These include advance ta, town tax, gain tax, capital gain tax and stamp duty.
  • Remember, register fees have to be paid at the time of registration and usually amount to one percent of the property value and varies according to the type of property and the area where it is located.

Punjab Land Records Authority Act 2017 was passed on 13 February 2017 and replaced the Punjab Land Record Authority Ordinance 2016. Its preamble says, “to provide for the establishment of the Punjab Land Records Authority for reform and modernization of the system of land records. It is necessary to establish the Punjab Land Records Authority to reform and modernize the system of land records, to improve the land records service delivery; to contribute to long lasting tenure security and to deal with other ancillary matters.”

Under this law “Arazi Record Centre” established which means an office, service Centre or facility established or notified in terms of section 17 of this act.

According to this law the Government shall by notification establish an Authority to be called the Punjab Land Records Authority and its principle office shall be at Lahore. Basic functions of Punjab Land Record Authority are;

  1. Frame policies for implementing this act
  2. Manage, update and maintain land records
  3. Formulate strategies, polices and plans for the management of land records
  4. Provide efficient and promote services to the public
  5. Develop a human resource management system for effective discharge of the functions
  6. Advise the Government on matters relating to improvement and modernization of land records management
  7. Manage technical cooperation and coordination with other Government departments, including foreign organizations and international inter-governmental organizations, on its own or on behalf of the Government
  8. Lay down the administrative, financial, legal and technical framework including the information technology based land records management and related services

Poultry is one of the fastest growing industries in Pakistan. It also plays crucial part in everyday life of ordinary citizens as poultry is permanent food item in ordinary Pakistani kitchen. There are many rumors about the substandard feed used by the shed owners and in order to regulate the matters and save the public health Government of Punjab promulgated The Punjab Animal Feed Stuff and Compound Feed Act 2016.

Its preamble says that it is to regulate poultry production activities in the Punjab. It is necessary to regulate the manufacture, storage, supply, transport for sale and marketing of feed stuff and compound feed in the Province of the Punjab, to ensure standards of production and quality of feed stuff, to check adulteration and misbranding of poultry and livestock feed stuff and compound feed ingredients and other related matters.

Section 3 of this ordinance described that what feed stuff or feed ingredient to be used in the compound feed which is used in the production of poultry. Section 4 made is compulsory for the person to obtain the license for manufacturing of feed. There are sections in this Ordinance which deals with the quality control and inspection of compound feed. It also describes penalties and punishment for those who fail to comply with the law.

Overall it is good step in right direction and government need to implement this law in true spirit as this is the matter of public health at large.
